Abigail's Australian Visit
A Calendar Must for ...
The Australian Women Donors Network will proudly host Abigail E. Disney from November 29 to December 2 as she visits Australia for the very first time.
As a member of the famous Walt Disney family, Abigail has stepped aside from her surname to excel as a social-activist filmmaker, humanitarian and philanthropist and will visit Melbourne and Sydney off the back of the release of her 2011 documentary: Women, War & Peace.
As part of our commitment to building a network which raises the profile of, and advocates greater investment in, women and girls, we will be holding two gala events with Abigail in Melbourne (Tuesday 29 November) and Sydney (Thursday 1 December). In addition we will also be offering an exclusive philanthropy masterclass, where Abigail will present about the strategies and success of her non-profit organizations – Peace is Loud and the Daphne Foundation.
Joining the likes of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Bill Clinton as recipient of the prestigious International Advocate for Peace Award, Abigail is a formidable force, and her visit is not to be missed. Up to 700 of Australia’s existing and emerging philanthropists and social change makers, along with corporate executives and foundations, will attend the two gala events in Melbourne and Sydney.
